A controller is the better choice to play Hades 2, and there are a multitude of reasons for this. Controller vs Keyboard-Mouse: Which Should You Use To Play Hades 2?
As mentioned earlier, using a controller to play Hades 2 is the better choice. This is primarily because you can access all your combat options at the same time, without the need to move your hands. As a rogue-like title, combat is king in Hades 2. There are various actions like your normal attack, specials, casts, and even other special actions. Using a controller places all of them within finger’s reach, and it becomes much more easier. You might even be able to set up macros to do compound actions like the dash-attacks.
On a keyboard and mouse, your primary attacks are on your mouse while playing Hades 2. Unless you have a gaming mouse with additional buttons, you will have to use your left hand to control anything other than the two actions on your mouse. This makes it complicated, even with proper remapping to make things easier.
At the same time, it is not completely impossible to play Hades 2 on a keyboard and mouse. However, it does make the movement and combat more complicated, and you need to be extremely mechanically adept to pull off all combos swiftly.
