The Black Coat is one of the few items added during the Olympic Update in Hades 2. It is a fusion between gauntlets for the fists and a jetpack to help you move around in a fight. This Nocturnal Arms is a good option for those interested in a fast-paced combat experience and a good exercise to rely more on movement speed.

In this guide, we will be looking at everything you need to know about the Black Coat. Find out how you can unlock it, the necessary materials, and how to make the most of it in battle.

To unlock the Black Coat, you will need the following resources:

  • 2x Adamant
  • 2x Cinder

You can find Adamant by scouring every square inch of Mount Olympus. This resource is much harder to find, but you will know you are near an ore deposit once you see glowing rocks. It is worth noting that this ore can only be mined with a Crescent Pick equipped, the same item required to mine Glassrock.

As for Cinder, you will automatically acquire this material after you defeat Hecate in Erebus. This boss is no pushover, and we recommend you take the time to prepare before dealing with this enemy. Hecate will use different magic attacks to hit you in the fight. After winning, you will get enough Cinder to craft the Black Coat.

Using the Black Coat

Unlike the Argent Skull, this is a weapon that you can get creative with. There is no need to perfect your aim, as long as you hit a wide enough area to hit multiple targets. The jetpack offers Melinoe great mobility options, and it can help deal with more attacks.

Dash around different areas and charge your enemies with your gauntlets. If you are looking for extra ways to deal damage from a distance, fire tracking missiles and different rockets from the gauntlets.
