Unlike recent games, Hades 2 doesn’t require the use of upscaling solutions such as XeSS, DLSS, or FSR. The engine is efficient, and the frame rate output will easily surpass your monitor’s max refresh rate. Supergiant Games has optimized the game exceptionally well, and it will run smoothly even on entry-level gaming laptops with GPUs such as the RTX 2050, RTX 3050A, and other 4GB VRAM cards.

To conserve electricity, the best way to play this game is via frame rate locking, so that your GPU doesn’t need to render extra frames that your display cannot produce. You can achieve this by enabling V-Sync on your regular monitor. On monitors that support G-Sync or FreeSync, locking the frame rate slightly below your monitor’s maximum refresh rate ensures that Adaptive Sync works in conjunction with power-saving features. You can use RTSS or any other software to cap your frame rate.

If you are playing with a controller, you will need to fine-tune settings such as Dead Zone, Reticle Speed, and Reticle Magnetism to your liking. Enabling aim assist and auto fire is totally up to your perspective on fair play.
