Hades 2 Best Argent Skull Build: Overview
One of the major selling points behind this build is its flexibility. You do not require multiple specific boons to get this build going, unlike many others. Moreover, this build excels at clearing both single-target bosses and large waves of enemies. This makes it viable to use in multiple situations.
Moreover, the main aspect being used for this build is the Aspect of Medea, which is great for dealing large bursts of damage in short windows. This lets you play at a fast pace, where you duck and weave your damage between enemy attacks.
Its only major limitation is its over-reliance on a specific Duo Boon, King’s Ransom to amp up Zeus’ damage.

Hades 2 Best Argent Skull Build: Best Aspect
The Aspect of Medea is the core of this build. The boons discussed later in this guide will all revolve around this aspect. Therefore, if you do not have this aspect unlocked, you might want to consider thinking over the boons carefully, as some viable with this aspect might not be so great without it.
This aspect of Medea is one that fundamentally alters the way you play the game. Your attacks don’t immediately do damage, and instead stay hovering near Melinoe. These will explode either after three seconds or if you use your Special. This is the crux of the build, and most of your boons will go towards buffing your Special.

Best Boons To Level And Obtain
Out of the boons listed above, only Heaven Flourish is a ‘critical’ part of this build. You can get by with replacing the rest with almost any other substitute you find on your run. The key tactic is to Attack, and then use your Special to run into the enemy, detonating the skull. This will further activate Zeus’ Blitz damage from Heaven Flourish.
Since this damage can reach absurd numbers on its own, you do not need to worry about investing Poms of Power into any other boons as well. Lastly, you will need King’s Ransom, which is a duo boon with Zeus and Hera. This will sacrifice all of your Hera boons, but level up your Zeus boons in exchange. So make sure to obtain as many Boons of Hera as possible before getting this Duo Boon to get the most value.
Without this duo boon, your Heaven Flourish will do fairly middling damage.

You will want the maximum Grasp before attempting to start this build. Here are the ones you will want to aim for:
- Origination
- Strength
- The Furies
- The Huntress
- The Fates
- The Champions
- The Enchantress
Out of these, the Fates, Champions, and Enchantress are the common Arcana cards, which are seen in almost any build. The rest are ones you will need specifically for this Argent Skull build for Hades 2. Origination is the most important of these, as it basically increases your damage by 50% on any enemy afflicted with two or more conditions.
Hades 2 Best Argent Skull Build: Tips and Tricks
- This build is extremely simple to use. You simply have to chain your attack and special one after the other, in quick succession.
- If you get Heaven Flourish at a high enough level, then this will take care of all your damage needs. Moreover, using the Special more often helps you stay out of any close-range attacks as well.
- This is predominantly a hit-and-run build, where you do damage quickly and escape before being countered. However, most of the time you won’t need to worry about being countered, because the enemy will likely be dead.
- No Daedalus Hammer is a necessary part of this build. However, there are some welcome additions. Namely, Melting Break, which can deal additional damage to armored enemies.
