In Hades 2, the Black Coat Xinth is the final Nocturnal Arm that Melinoe can unlock and use to fight the Titan of Time. In addition, it is quite a unique weapon, as a jetpack that shoots seeking missiles is not a weapon people would expect to appear in Greek mythology.

The Black Coat is not an easy weapon to use at first, as there are many mechanics you can utilise. To help you out, here’s the best build that you can use for the Black Coat Xinth in Hades 2.

For your Aspect, it is best to select the basic one, which is the Aspect of Melinoe. It boosts your Attack, Sprint, and movement speed. While being quite plain, this synergises perfectly with the boons discussed later in this guide. Note that this build is very Attack-focused, but you do also utilise the Omega Special, which is the seeking missiles that lock on the targets.

If you are feeling overwhelmed when using this weapon, you can also look at the best builds for other weapons like the Moonstone Axe or the Argent Skull

The Black Coat in Hades 2 has quite a special mechanic when it comes to its Attack. The Attack of this weapon is a series of quick punches that you can chain infinitely, meaning you won’t stop hitting like other weapons. This feature of the Black Coat is perfect to utilise boons that enhance your Attack and survivability at close range. Therefore, for this build, we are going to focus on boons from gods like Poseidon, Aphrodite, and Hestia

Poseidon’s boon creates splashes that knock back enemies with each Attack, making it perfect to keep your combo going. Moreover, you can use Aphodite’s and Hestia’s Duo Boon to inflict infinite burn on enemies using your Omega Special if you are low on health.
