Scatter Signal is a strand rapid-fire frame released during Season 23 Season of the Wish. It drops as the only crafted strand fusion rifle currently in the game. Fusion rifles are powerful special ammo weapons in Destiny 2, providing high burst damage to help take out miniboss and bosses. They are a special archetype requiring the weapon to charge up its shot before firing multiple bolts to deal damage. However, landing all of the bolts allows for massive damage on any enemy hit.

The best perks for the Scatter Signal PVE God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Enhanced Battery, Slice, and Controlled Burst. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

Arrowhead Break is a must-have barrel perk on fusion rifles to ensure you land every bolt of the burst to deal maximum damage. Also, Enhanced Battery is amazing for ensuring we have additional bursts in every magazine reducing our need to reload. Since fusions are used on high-health targets that can hit hard, Slice is a new perk that can sever enemies hit to reduce their damage output. If you want to use the weapon as strictly a damage weapon, you can swap out Slice for Overflow for double magazine capacity after picking up ammo. Lastly, Controlled Burst is the best damage perk available on fusions providing a damage boost and reducing our charge time between shots after hitting every bolt of a burst.
All these perks combined make Scatter Signal one of the best fusion rifles for PVE in the game. Able to output massive damage, debuff enemies, and is easily available and craftable.

The best perks for the Scatter Signal PVP God Roll are Arrowhead Brake, Projection Fuse, Perpetual Motion, and Kickstart. These provide important stats, utility, and damage for the weapon.

Our Range Masterwork and Projection Fuse magazine increase our range allowing our weapon to hit enemies from further away. Also, the Arrowhead Brake, Counterbalance Stock, and Perpetual Motion provide us with stability and reduce our recoil to keep the weapon consistent and allow us to be more accurate. Lastly, Kickstart is a great damage perk giving us additional damage and reduced charge time for sliding after sprinting.
Fusions have fallen slightly out of the meta for PVP special weapons due to a few nerfs on their consistency in PVP. These nerfs hit Rapid-Fire Frames hard, however, they can still be used effectively as long as you are willing to put in the time to master them.
How to Get the Scatter Signal in Destiny 2
Scatter Signal can be obtained in the Coil or Riven’s Lair activities available during Season of the Wish. Once you have completed The Wishful Weapon Focusing Seasonal Challenge, you can use Wish Engrams at the Spirit of Riven to focus this weapon. Also, you can complete the Solcrafting Seasonal challenge to make the first weapon you focus on each week have a guaranteed Deepsight Resonance pattern since Doomed Petitioner is craftable.
