Throne and Liberty is taking MMORPG enthusiasts by storm with its countless builds, permutations and combinations of skills, and weapons offering unique playstyles. With so much to explore and do, the game will capture your attention for hours. Notably, the game is playable on the Steam Deck, meaning you can take the game beyond your living room and play it anytime, anywhere. However, it is worth noting that its compatibility with the Steam Deck remains ‘Unknown’, which means you could face issues running the game on the portable device.
In this guide, we shall go over how you can play Throne and Liberty on the Steam Deck and the best settings to use to run the game best.
Throne and Liberty on the Steam Deck
To play Throne and Liberty on the Steam Deck, simply download the game via the Steam Store. Next, head over to your library and find Throne and Liberty. You can then click on “Play” and launch the game.
The game will then launch and display the recommended control layout. It will take a while to load as it runs install scripts. Do not turn off the Steam Deck while it is doing so. Once installed, accept the terms and conditions.
Best Settings For Throne and Liberty On The Steam Deck
After accepting the terms and conditions, the game will bring up a “Quick Settings” menu and ask you to select from a bunch of options. These include brightness, display settings, subtitles, font size, audio, etc. These are purely based on preference and you can adjust these as you please.
The next group of settings the game brings up are the Graphics Quality settings. You can choose from Epic, High, Medium, and Low. The game recommends Low when running on the Steam Deck. Remember, it is a portable device working within hardware constraints, so Low is the ideal setting to pick when playing Throne and Liberty on the Steam Deck.
Running the game on the recommended Low Graphics Quality setting also allows the game to perform within the 50-60 fps range in most areas of the game. You could opt to play on higher settings, but we recommend going with Low as game performance is a huge aspect of the Throne and Liberty gameplay experience.

Gameplay Settings
Under the Gameplay Settings, we highly recommend tweaking the UI settings to make it fit better on the Steam Deck’s smaller screen.

- We recommend leaving the other Gameplay Settings to default.
Graphics Settings
Under the Graphics Settings, go to the Screen tab and make the following changes:
- Frame Rate Limit: 60 FPS
- Intel XeSS Experimental Feature: High Quality
Now, go under the Quality tab and make the following changes:
- Anti-Aliasing: High
- Post-Processing: Medium
- Character Quality: Medium
- Distant Shadow Quality: Low
- Leave the rest of the settings unchanged.
