The Rivian Coast statues are one of those environmental puzzles that isn’t particularly straightforward.

You will come across this particular puzzle while completing the main story quest – Dragon Slayer. While the puzzle might be a bit tricky to solve, it’s totally worth investing a bit of time into it, simply due to the rewards you get after getting past the statues. You can choose to solve the puzzle while working your way through the Dragon Slayer quest. Or, you can always return to the Rivian Coast at a later point in time to figure out a solution to it.

That being said, here’s a comprehensive guide to help you easily solve the Rivian Coast statues puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

The puzzle can be found in the northeastern region of the Rivian Coast Clifftop. The statues are located within a ruined fort-like structure. You will come across this puzzle naturally while going through Taash’s Dragon Slayer questline. Since the puzzle isn’t progression-gated, you can choose to solve it there and then during the Dragon Slayer quest itself. However, since it’s not a mandatory puzzle, you can always come back to it later before the “point of no return.”

How To Solve the Rivian Coast Statue Puzzle?

To solve the Rivian Coast statue puzzle, you need to rotate each of the statues in a particular direction. The solution to this puzzle can be found in one of the exterior walls of the fort. Thankfully, reaching the wall, i.e., the solution to the statue puzzle, isn’t as complicated as the puzzle itself. Here’s how you can reach the exterior wall with the puzzle’s solution:

  • Go through the alleyway opposite the statues and climb the ladder to the left.
  • After climbing on the ladder, make a left, and you will reach a giant metal gate blocking a treasure chest.
  • To the right of the gate, you will find three statues embedded in the wall.
  • These statues are a miniaturized depiction of the three statues downstairs.
  • Keep note of the orientation of the statues on the wall to solve the puzzle.

The correct solution (orientation) of the statues is – right, left, and back. Set the first statue facing to the right, the second statue facing the left, and finally, the third statue facing towards the back of the wall to solve the puzzle. Solving the Rivian Coast statue puzzle rewards you with a heavy helmet (headgear), which comes with some really powerful attributes.
