The Nightingale’s Hunt is a side mission in STALKER 2, which requires you to kill some blind mutant dogs and collect the electronic collars to make a deal with Hamster.
GSC Game World’s survival RPG STALKER 2 is the sequel to the popular STALKER franchise. In this sequel, players take up the role of a stalker named Skif and his journey across the highly radioactive regions of Zone. Along with the main storyline, you can explore the post-apocalyptic Zone with various side missions.
The Nightingale’s Hunt is one of the early side missions of STALKER 2, which requires you to kill some blind mutant dogs and collect the electronic collar. Let’s walk through the Nightingale’s Hunt side mission and how to complete it in STALKER 2.

How To Start Nightingale’s Hunt Mission in STALKER 2
First, complete the Dogfight side mission with Nightingale, the prequel to Nightingale’s Hunt. After completing the Dogfight side mission, interact with Nightingale immediately to begin the Nightingale’s Hunt side mission.
He will brief you about hunting blind dogs around the Lesser Zone and collect the collars. Choosing the dialogue option “I can help you.” commences the hunting mission. Nightingale will then share two coordinates on your PDA.
Where To Collect the Electronic Collars in Nightingale’s Hunt
You will be tasked with finding a collar near a Bulba anomaly or hunting down a pack of blind dogs near the Old Mill. Completing any one of these allows you to proceed with the next task. You will be surrounded and attacked by a pack of blind dogs at both locations.
Once you defeat all the blind mutant dogs, you will find the electronic collar in one of their bodies. Meanwhile, you get a distress call from Nightingale. He informs you that he got tricked by the professor and is in extreme danger.

Defeating an Invisible Bloodsucker Mutant
Upon collecting the collar, rush to the location of Nightingale, which leads you to an abandoned house in the woods. Enter the house to find a dead Bloodsucker in the first room. You will then find Nightingale lying dead on the floor in the next room. When you approach Nightingale, the room atmosphere becomes eerie, and you will hear some whispers.
Suddenly a Bloodsucker rushes through the door and attacks you. Killing the mutant is challenging as it is invisible. Watch out for its shimmer to track the Bloodsucker in its invisible state. Placing yourself in a corner helps you anticipate the Bloodsucker’s incoming direction. As it attacks you and runs back, take that time to heal or reload.
Take the Electronic Collars to Hamster
Upon defeat, collect the electronic collar from the mutant and Nightingale. Turning in the electronic collars to Hamster (Trader) rewards you with a good amount of coupons. Head back to Zalissya and find Hamster by looking at the bag icon. Interact with him to open up the conversation about Electronic Collars and Nightingale.
He will ask about Nightingale, you can choose to tell the truth about his death or to lie. Hamster won’t express any remorse for Nightingale, even if you tell him about his death. Proceed with the conversation to sell the electronic collars to Hamster and complete the Nightingale’s Hunt side mission in STALKER 2.
