Atomfall, the upcoming new survival-action IP from Rebellion, is scheduled to be released on March 27, 2025. Structurally, Atomfall is quite similar to titles like Metro Exodus and BioShock. However, instead of being relegated to a corridor shooter, Atomfall’s gameplay mostly consists of investigations and exploration, akin to a Hitman or Sniper Elite game.

Atomfall also features elements of immersive sims, akin to games like Prey (2017) and Deus Ex. To facilitate the game’s immersive elements, Atomfall heavily relies on its visuals. Despite being a cross-generation title, Atomfall offers breathtaking visuals, owing to its use of Rebellion’s proprietary game engine.

Although the game uses the same tech as Rebellion’s previous titles (Sniper Elite), it’s a noticeable step-up in comparison. This is further exemplified by the game’s PC system requirements, which, much like the upcoming Sniper Elite: Resistance, is quite high. Here’s a look at Atomfall’s official PC system requirements.

Atomfall PC System Requirements

Atomfall is coming to both current-gen and previous-gen consoles, alongside PC. Although the game is technically a cross-gen title, similar to Sniper Elite 5, its visuals are a noticeable upgrade compared to it. This is reflected in the game’s PC system requirements as well.

For Sniper Elite 5, the recommended GPU is a GTX 1660 Ti equivalent (6 GB VRAM with support for DirectX 12). However, for Atomfall, the minimum GPU specification is an RTX 2060 equivalent. Furthermore, the CPU requirements are also higher for Atomfall compared to Sniper Elite 5 (going from Intel Core i5-8400 to Core i5-9400F). Thankfully, Atomfall’s file size is smaller compared to Sniper Elite 5.

As of writing this article, Rebellion has only revealed the minimum system requirements for Atomfall. The recommended specifications should arrive close to the game’s official release date (March 27, 2025). We will update this article with relevant information once Rebellion reveals more information on the game’s PC system requirements. That being said, here are the minimum system requirements for Atomfall:

Minimum

  • OS: Windows 10 or later
  • Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-9400f or equivalent
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia 2060 6GB or equivalent
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 60 GB available space

Atomfall File Size

Based on the game’s official system requirements, Atomfall takes roughly 60 GB of storage space. Surprisingly enough, the game’s storage requirement is lower than Rebellion’s past few releases. For instance, Sniper Elite 5 takes up to 90 GB of storage (without DLCs). Furthermore, the upcoming Sniper Elite: Resistance also requires 90 GB of storage on PC and consoles. However, it should be noted that the 60 GB file size is just for Atomfall’s base game. There’s also a Story Expansion confirmed for Atomfall, which will add to the game’s overall file size.
