The Bulls of Blood puzzle is one of the earliest puzzles you encounter in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The puzzle is found in Castel Sant’Angelo in the Vatican and can be a tricky one to solve. If you find yourself lost, confused, or stuck, you can find notes scattered around the area that help you understand and subsequently solve the Bulls of Blood puzzle. How To Solve the Bulls of Blood Puzzle
The Bulls of Blood Mystery Notes
You begin the Bulls of Blood puzzle by finding the mystery notes tied to the puzzle. You can pick the notes up in any order. The ones you’re most likely to find first are the Red Bulls Card and the Angel Courtyard map in Castel Sant’Angelo. You find these on an office desk by a guard who is asleep in a chair. Knock the guard out for good measure and interact with the mystery note to begin the puzzle.
“Meet me there at 15.00 if you change your mind,” the Red Bulls Card says.
“What are the priests hiding? Is there something behind this wall? Cards with bull found by the fireplace. [One of the notes points to a circled spot on the map],” the Angel Courtyard map description reads.
Alternatively, you can also begin the puzzle by finding Russo’s note on the southern end of Castel Sant’Angelo. Head left from where you found the Red Bulls Card to reach this room. This room also features a large fireplace and is lit a warm shade of orange by the light. A guard sits right in front of the fire.
“Please instruct the janitor to clean the passage next to the fireplace. Last week, Father Raphael slipped on rat excrement, and he’s been pestering me about it ever since. You know how he is,” Russo’s note reads.
Solving the Bulls of Blood Puzzle
Now, head to the fireplace in the room where you found the Red Bulls Card. Next to the fireplace are two portraits featuring red and white bulls. As hinted at by the Red Bulls Card, you have to make the two Red Bulls face each other. Simply rotate the posters 180 degrees to solve the puzzle and open the passageway.
