Where To Start the Scrap Quest in a Dusty Trip
To begin the quest:
- Head out from the starting area and travel about 1,500 meters until you find the Scrap Shop.
- Inside, you’ll see a grinder machine with a progress board showing how many scrap points you’ve earned.
- Drop any junk items into the grinder and pull the lever to convert them into scrap points.
Each item gives you a few points, depending on what it is. Keep grinding until your total hits 777 points.
Where To Find Scrap Items
You’ll need to loot buildings along the way, looking for metal, furniture, or other junk items. Good locations include:
- Garages
- Abandoned homes
- Military outposts
- Gas stations and truck stops
The scrap quest is long, so expect to make several trips back and forth unless you’re storing items in a vehicle. It’s a bit of a grind, but worth it for the reward.
Turning in Scrap and Unlocking the Dustbox
Once you’ve gathered enough scrap:
- Return to the Scrap Shop.
- Drop all the scrap onto the machine and keep pulling the lever until you reach 777 points.
- When you hit the goal, the game will unlock the Dustbox automatically and add it to your garage.
You don’t need to do this in one run. Your points carry over between runs, so you can chip away at it over time.
