Everything you need to know about the Phantoms in The First Berserker Khazan, including their perks, upgrades, locations, and more.

On the surface, The First Berserker Khazan looks like a traditional souls-like hack-and-slash title, akin to Lies of P and FromSoftware’s Souls games. However, delving deep into the game slowly reveals the various layers of its rather robust combat system.
While the game’s structure is very similar to traditional souls-likes, its build-crafting and progression are more akin to games like Nioh. And much like the Yokai forms in Nioh 2, The First Berserker features the Phantom abilities. The Phantoms serve as an additional part of your build in The First Berserker, granting you passive buffs that have a massive impact on gameplay and combat.
However, to get these Phantom abilities, you first need to find and unlock them. Here’s a comprehensive guide on all Phantoms in The First Berserker Khazan and where to find them.
Overview of Phantoms in The First Berserker Khazan

There are a total of 8 Phantoms in The First Berserker Khazan. Most of these Phantoms are unlocked via special Ghost Relics, which you can obtain during exploration. However, there are two Phantoms that unlock automatically as part of optional quests (Bonus Missions). Keshta the Unyielding and Atlante the Precise, both of these Phantoms are unlocked as rewards for completing Bonus Missions.
Every Phantom comes with its unique passive bonus, which you can level up simply by keeping said Phantom equipped. As you kill enemies and gain Lacrima, the equipped Phantom will level up alongside you. However, there’s a level cap for the Phantoms.
Once a Phantom reaches Level 20 on its primary passive bonus, it won’t level up anymore. However, every Phantom also has access to two more passive perks, which can be unlocked using additional Ghost Relics.
Every Phantom has a total of 3 Ghost Relics assigned to them. One of these Relics is used to unlock the Phantom, whereas the other two are used to unlock its passives. However, Keshta and Atlante only have two of these Relics since they unlock automatically via Bonus Missions.

Additional Notes
It is possible to obtain all the Phantoms in a single playthrough. In the current version of the game, there are no Phantom forms exclusive to the New Game+ mode. Furthermore, it’s also possible to fully upgrade all the Phantoms before heading to New Game+.
In addition to that, there are specific farming spots to help with leveling up the Phantoms. The best farming method for Phantom upgrades is to kill endgame bosses (Trokka, Bellerian, Skalpel, Tanya, etc.) or the Revenants of Adversity.
The best location to farm Phantom upgrades is the Burning City Nexus, in the Trator Revealed main story mission. This location has three Revenant summon signs placed nearby.
Furthermore, killing the Revenants rewards you not only with Phantom upgrades but also Lacrima of Circulation. Check our detailed Lacrima of Circulation guide for more details on the resource and how to easily farm it.
