Trosky Region Treasure Maps

Drowner’s Map

The map itself is quite easy to miss because it is placed somewhere not many players will look. You can find the map on a pier near the bridge left of the Nomad’s Camp. It will be in a black bag on the pier. Many have searched for the Water Goblin’s treasure, and all have failed. Similarly, you will find the map of one of the hunters who met their demise while looking for it. In simpler terms, you will have to loot the corpse of a drowned treasure hunter to collect the map. Now that you have it, let’s talk about the exact location of it because it can be hard to find because of the poor accuracy of the maps in the game.

Once you open the treasure map, you will get a marker on your in-game map. Now, you will notice that the treasure seems to be on top of a hill near the Nomad’s Camp, which makes no sense since it is named the Water Goblin’s Treasure. And you would be right in thinking that because the treasure is indeed not on the hill, and it looks that way only because the map was drawn poorly.

Treasure location

The Water Goblin’s Treasure is actually in the depths of the lake right beside that hill. To be more precise, you will be able to find the treasure in the southern part of the Rocktower Pond. Additionally, you can just go towards the west of Zeheljov and follow the path that connects to Bhozhena’s Shack near the shore. Eventually, the path will end. Now, dismount from your horse and move forward on foot. Don’t worry; if you can’t see a proper path, it is designed that way.

Stick to the shore as much as you can, and shortly after, you will stumble upon a clay pot on the left bank of the river, which is the coveted Water Goblin’s Treasure. You will get one hundred and twenty-five Groschen out of it, which might feel like a small reward for such a journey, but it is not too bad either. Additionally, you can find the Goblins on the other side of the pond.

Caught Thief’s Map

You can find the Caught Thief’s Map from the Black Bartosch, the knight from Prague loyal to Otto von Bergow. Interact with him once you complete the main quest Back in the Saddle. He will teach you different techniques at the combat arena in Trosky Castle. You will get a map when you successfully beat him in the arena. The other way to get this map is to purchase it from him using 250 Groschen or you can also steal it. Stealing the map can affect your reputation in KCD 2. You can make your way back at the end of the game to obtain the map as Black Bartosch doesn’t disappear after you complete the story.

Investigate the map to learn your destination to obtain a treasure. Move to the Trosky in the Kuttenberg Region. Travel to the southeast to Nebakov. You can see a small building over there at the top. Go to the east of the Thief’s Camp. You will encounter a bandit over there, so equip your weapon to defeat him. Get access to the camp and you will see a chest in the camp. You need to pick the lock to open the chest and collect valuable items. The chest contains an Engraved Gemstone Ring, a Weak Marigold Decoction, four pieces of Frankfurt Steel, two Bandages, and 328 Groschen.

Vidlak Bandit’s Map

start the Lackey side quest. This is one of the early side quests you can play in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This quest is the start of how you will obtain the Vidlak Bandit’s Map. During this Lackey quest, the huntsman Vostotek asks you to rescue his horse from some thieving poachers. These bandits can be found Northeast of Vidlak Pond. After you have defeated the bandits, you can loot them and snatch the Vidlak Bandit’s map from one of them. Make sure to take the Bandit’s Key as well.

When you investigate the map, you will notice that the relative location of the bandit camp to Vidlak Pond does not reflect the actual positions. However, if you were to read the map as though it were upside down, then the positions match up correctly. Based on this, approach the map while keeping in mind that it is upside down to find the location of the tree marked on the map. Thus, you will find that the tree is North of the Pond and West of the Bandit Camp. Here, you will find a hollow tree at the crossroads of a stream. However, the tree has been knocked down.

Treasure Location

Search around near the root of the tree and you will find a silver cup and a tin plate. Henry will then remark on how that can’t be the entire treasure. An astute observation, as the rest of the treasure has been washed away. Follow the river South to the larger part of the pond and search near the reeds. Search among the reeds to find the Washed-up chest. Use the Bandit’s key you have looted earlier to unlock the chest and collect your hard-earned valuables.

The chest contains 300 Groschen, a silver cup, 2 tin plates, and the extremely valuable golden crucifix.

There’s a cave on the north side that you can find once you reach over there to hunt the treasure chest. Your best bet is to take the road north from Trosky Castle. You will travel to the east through the trees and then south into Apollonia. You will encounter a cave on the right side of the road when taking this route.

Move into the cave and take the ladder to move up until you reach a room with a locked chest in the middle. The key to open this treasure chest is found below Trosky. There you can see a cracked skull on a sack on a ledge at the end of the room. You will get 200 Groschen, two Frankfurt Steel for blacksmithing, and some other valuables from the locked chest. Keep in mind that the Cave in Apollonia is near the Marika’s location in the Miri Fatja ques.
