Locate, collect, and extract safely with the shipping paper and the LIDAR Scanner during the Lay of the Land quest in Arc Raiders.
A Lay of the Land is one of the many quests you can complete in Arc Raiders. Unlike many other quests, this one requires you to reach two different locations within the same map during a single run. It is also important to note that you must extract along with the item for it to register as completed.
In this article, we will look at how to complete the ‘A Lay of the Land’ quest in Arc Raiders.
A Lay of the Land Quest Overview in Arc Raiders
Shani, who is in charge of security, will assign you the Lay of the Land task in Arc Raiders. The tasks are simple overall but must be completed within the same run. Let’s look at all the objectives included in this quest.
- Reach the Jiangsu Warehouse
- Find the shipping notes in the foreman’s office
- Locate the scanners on the upper floor of Control Tower A6
- Deliver 1 LIDAR Scanners to Shani

How To Complete A Lay of the Land Quest
This quest will take place in the Spaceport location in Arc Raiders. Once you have deployed to the topside, head toward the Jiangsu Warehouse. You will find it on the far west side of the map, between the Water Towers and the Fuel Depot. Approach the westernmost entrance, enter through the door, and go up the stairs on the right. Once at the top, turn right, and you will see a desk inside the Foreman’s office. Search it to recover the shipping notes.
Next, head to Control Tower A6, located in the center of the map beside the launch tower. Once there, go up to the first floor. After exiting the stairs, take the first right, and to your right, you will see a metal barrier. Behind it, you will find a container. Search it to obtain the LIDAR Scanner. Equip it and make a safe extraction. Once you are back home, deliver the items to Shani to complete the quest.
