Are the PSN servers back up yet? PSN suffered a major outage globally, with the servers going down more than eight hours ago.

PSN servers are still not back up after a massive global outage impacted its services earlier today. Gamers from around the world have been complaining on social media about either being kicked out of their gameplay sessions or being unable to log into them. While PlayStation has acknowledged that they are aware of the issue, there’s no ETA on when a fix will arrive or when the servers will come back online.

What Happened to PSN Servers Today?
A quick look at the PlayStation Network Service Status page reveals that PS users are facing service issues regarding Account Management, Gaming and Social, and the PlayStation Store. They mention:
- Affected platforms: Other, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, Web
- Affected services: You might have difficulty launching games, apps, or network features / getting products in PlayStation Store / signing in, or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
We are aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN.

@AskPlayStation also posted on X that the team was “aware some users might be currently experiencing issues with PSN” about six hours ago. There hasn’t been any further communication from them on this topic on the channel.
The outage roughly began around eight hours ago, with players reporting they were suddenly kicked out of sessions. The PSN outage issue has also meant that PS5 users are currently unable to try out the ongoing limited-timed Monster Hunter Wilds Beta.
We will keep this article updated once the servers are live or Sony reveals more information regarding what happened. At the time of writing, there’s nothing to do but wait.
