League of Legends Worlds 2024 or Worlds 2024 is the fourteenth esports championship tournament of the franchise. Here’s everything you need to know about its schedule and more.
The League of Legends World Championship, or simply Worlds, is organized by Riot Games. The Worlds 2024 started on September 25, 2024, and will last until November 2, 2024. 20 teams are participating in the Worlds 2024. They are divided into three stages – the Play-In Stage, the Swiss Stage, and the Knockout Stage. The year-end event is always a treat for LoL fans, as they get to witness their favorite esports players and get some cool in-game rewards by participating in events like Pick’Em and Crystal Ball.

The Pick’Em, powered by AWS, opened a week before the Worlds. For the Play-In stage, it took place between 10 AM PT on September 18 and 5:15 AM PT on September 25. The Pick’Em and the Crystal Ball allow fans to pick and predict event outcomes and be rewarded based on that. Crystal Ball is different from the traditional Pick’Em picks. It challenges the players to make predictions throughout the tournament.
The Swiss Picks prediction will take place between 1 PM PT on September 29 and 5:15 AM PT on October 3. Players need to select eight out of 16 teams that they think will advance to the Knockouts. Additional points will be rewarded for the successful prediction of a team with a perfect 3-0.
Finally, the Knockout picks start at 4 PM PT on October 13 and run till 7:15 AM PT on November 2. The picks for the Knockouts phase will begin once the matchups are confirmed.
Here is how to pick and play League of Legends Worlds 2024 Pick’Em:
- First of all, make sure you have a League of Legends account.
- Open the official LoL Esports website.
- Log in with your Riot Account..
- Choose “Picks” and follow the instructions shown .
- Select the team that you want to pick during every stage of the competition.
- However, only a set number of teams can be selected throughout every stage.
