There’s a new Badge level in NBA 2K25 called Legend, which is ranked above Hall of Fame Badges. Here’s how you can get Legend Badges.
Badges have a massive impact on gameplay in 2K’s NBA series, as they enhance your player’s skills and attributes. There are much fewer Badges now compared to last year’s NBA 2K title, as the total number has been reduced from 77 to 40. However, according to 2K, this was done to make every available Badge useful and desirable. The existing Badges have all been reworked so that they cover more aspects of gameplay.
Hall of Fame used to be the highest Badge level in the series, but Legend Badges in NBA 2K25 now surpass it. Unlike the Purple/Amethyst color scheme of Hall of Fame Badges, Legend Badges can be identified by their Red/Ruby color scheme. So, here’s everything you need to know about these new Badges.
How to Acquire Legend Badges in NBA 2K25
In NBA 2K24, you could get Hall of Fame Badges when your Attributes would be near or almost 99. In the new game, this has been reduced, and Legend Badges now have similar requirements instead. So, attaining a 99 rating on a particular Attribute can help you get Legend Badges in NBA 2K25. Not all Badges have the same requirements, and you’ll also have to fall in the height bracket necessary for a particular Badge.
For instance, if your MyPLAYER’s Agility is 82, and their height is between 5’9 and 6’11, you can get the Legend Shifty Shooter Badge. The same Badge can also be acquired with a Mid-Range Shot or Three-Point Shot of 99. The exact requirements vary according to the Badge, with some of them being easier to get, depending on your build.
Of course, the easiest way to get a Legend Badge is to set one of your Attributes to 99 when creating your MyPLAYER. However, this will limit your potential in other areas. Instead, you can upgrade your existing badges to Legend level with the help of a new feature called Badge Elevators. These allow you to raise a badge by up to three levels permanently. Alternatively, you can increase an Attribute beyond its maximum potential (by up to five points) by using Cap Breakers.
