Throne and Liberty Will Have a Free To Play Model
Developers of Throne and Liberty have mentioned on their official website that the game will be completely free to play. This model will not change regardless of your platform.
As mentioned before, Throne and Liberty is a typical guild vs guild title where you will be able to lay siege in either PvP or PvE scenarios. You will be able to pick a pair of weapons and level to maximize your stats. Straying from the traditional style, your weapons will determine your class in Throne and Liberty.
It is currently unknown if the game will have microtransactions or any other pay-to-win strategies. Given that the game itself is free to play, the possibility of progressing faster by paying should not be entirely dismissed.
When will Throne and Liberty Release?
Throne and Liberty will release into Early Access on September 26, 2024 and the full global release of the game will launch the following week on October 1. If you wish to play in early access, you will have to buy an ‘early access pack.’ However, the full launch will be free-to-play for everyone.
Additionally, there will be separate servers for Early Access and Global Release players. Players who join at global release will be able to transfer to any server they like. However, early access players can only transfer to other early access servers. This is due to the amount of progression early access players will have been able to make. The developers want to avoid players geared for end game having an overwhelming impact against players on a brand new server.
