Items in Baldur’s Gate 3 are the essence of its gameplay. From potions to spell scrolls, you can always count on items to help whenever needed. However, as you progress through Baldur’s Gate 3’s acts, you will notice several items that you do not require. So, how do you manage this inventory problem? By transferring items through your party members or sending them to camp. Here are all the ways you can transfer items in Baldur’s Gate 3:

  • Press “I” to open your inventory, and click on any item you wish to transfer. A menu should appear. Click on “Send To” and select any character in your party you want to send it to. Alternatively, you can also send it to the camp if you do not require it in the moment.
  • Pressing the “Tab” key opens all your characters’ inventory slots at once. Using this menu, you can simply drag and drop items through multiple characters. However, if the slots are not empty on the character you wish to send your item to, the transfer will not happen.
  • You can also drag and drop items by opening your inventory and dragging the said item to one of your party’s portraits.
  • Backpacks and Pouches also help as they take up only one inventory slot, but provide a few more in return. You can use various backpacks and pouches to organize your potions, spell scrolls, rings, amulets, etc.
  • Holding down the “CTRL” key and dragging items lets you send multiple items to your party or camp.
  • Your Camp inventory is also very helpful for sending items that are not relevant, but might be needed later on.
  • Using crates can also help transfer items conveniently in Baldur’s Gate 3, as you can stash all of them in one crate and send them back to camp. This aids in stashing more items in your camp, as later acts will have you search through your inventory.
