Trying to explore what the planet Arrakis has to offer? Here are the best skills to unlock for Planetologist in Dune Awakening!

The Planetologist is an advanced class, likely meant to enhance exploration across the deserts of Arrakis. This class is not available at the start and requires some progress in Dune Awakening’s story to unlock. It is more of a PvE-based class, as opposed to the more combat- and survival-focused classes you choose in the beginning.
For players who enjoy optimizing their farming and exploration, this class as a secondary option is ideal. However, you will have to work for it.
Skills To Unlock Early for Planetologist in Dune Awakening

Being an advanced class, acquiring the Planetologist requires some story progression in Dune Awakening. However, this is a small effort compared to the advantages you gain with this class. The Planetologist is focused mainly on exploration and survival rather than combat. You can branch into three different categories of skill trees: Scientist, Explorer, and Mechanic. As their names suggest, these categories are divided based on what a player might need—whether they want to research, roam, or travel faster with better vehicle efficiency.
For now, the Planetologist has only one active skill. Future updates may add more to the skill tree, but for now, the Suspensor Pad is a must-have for exploration. This skill allows you to place a pad that bounces anyone who jumps on it. While exploring certain areas, this skill becomes very important as it provides access to locations and shortcuts that are otherwise inaccessible. All other upgrades in the skill trees are passives that help the Planetologist perform their role more efficiently.
The Suspensor Pad takes 15 stamina and has a cooldown of 15 seconds. Only one pad can exist at a time for each player.
Why Choose Planetologist in Dune Awakening?
A Planetologist’s job typically involves collecting resources more efficiently or traveling longer distances in vehicles. They can also become extreme survivors in the harsh deserts of Arrakis, making this a great class for role-playing as an actual citizen of Arrakis, like the Fremen. Perhaps Fremen classes will be introduced in the near future. But for now, the Planetologist, as a survival and exploration secondary class, might be the best fit for your PvE activities.
Additionally, you can use the Suspensor Pads in combat, though doing so will occupy a skill slot. But choose your path wisely. Being a sandbox MMO, Dune Awakening allows you to role-play your fantasy of existing in the ecological life cycle of Arrakis and the Dune universe—and maybe even disrupt it.
