4-2-2-2 Formation in EAFC 25
EA Sports has removed the 4-3-2-1 formation from EAFC 25. It was one of the most popular meta formations in EAFC 24 and used by a number of professional players. For EAFC 25, many new formations have become popular, like the 4-4-1-1 and 4-2-1-3. However, the 4-2-2-2 seems to be one of the best formations right now.
The 4-2-2-2 formation utilizes a double striker, double CAM, and double CDM setup. This allows the team to be incredibly aggressive while being defensively sound. With a few custom tactics tweaks, the 4-2-2-2 might help you reach the elite rank.
Custom Tactics
The attack in the 4-2-2-2 formation consists of a double striker and double CAM pivot. The strikers are given the Advanced Forward role, which allows them to make runs in the box and receive crosses from the CAMs. Gamers should allot the Half-Winger role to the central attacking midfielders. The CAM should be responsible for creating chances in the team and used in a supportive role.
The midfield consists of a double defensive midfielder pivot deployed as a Holding midfielder and Deep-lying Playmaker. This allows for the CDMs to control the flow of the play from deep while also providing support to the backline. Both full-backs have the Full-Back role as they help the CAMs while attacking from the flanks. Players should assign the center-backs the Defender role, as they need to deny goalscoring opportunities and play compactly. The goalkeeper has the Sweeper-Keeper role and helps in playmaking and getting loose balls.
