Switching between Miles and Peter in Spider-Man 2 is straightforward with the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (FNSM) App on your PS5:
- Open the FNSM App: Swipe left on the DualSense touchpad to access the app.
- Pick Your Hero: Hold the square button to toggle between Miles and Peter. Options like “Switch to Miles” or “Switch to Peter” will appear at the bottom of the screen.
The transition is instant, thanks to the PS5’s speedy SSD. This takes you seamlessly from one part of New York City to another, much like how quick the fast travel system is in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
When Can You Switch Characters?
While character switching is versatile in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, there are certain scenarios where it’s restricted. During story-specific missions, you will need to stick with either Peter or Miles until the mission concludes. On top of his usual skills, Peter also gains symbiote abilities during the story and retains them even after the main story concludes thanks to the Anti-Venom suit. The symbiote attacks include powerful new moves and capabilities that not only enhance Peter’s combat but also look incredibly satisfying.
Meanwhile, Miles Morales stands out with his bio-electric venom attacks. These attacks can stun enemies and inflict significant damage. Additionally, his ability to turn invisible makes it easier to sneak past or ambush foes. Miles also possesses a lot of AoE attacks which can allow him to clear out areas filled with enemies rather quickly.
