Monoco’s Station can feel overwhelming at first. If you are standing at the entrance with questions, you are not alone. This part of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is layered, and each corner hides something new. You will move through frozen halls, meet familiar faces, and fight through some of the more intense battles so far on The Continent.

In this article, we shall discuss the area—starting with boss strategies and ending with Journal pickups.

What You Should Know About Stalact

You are going to meet Stalact eventually. That encounter is tied to your progress in the story, so you can’t miss it and shouldn’t rush it either.

Stalact doesn’t fight in a fixed pattern. It swaps between elemental stances. When it starts to burn, it’s vulnerable to Ice. Once you strike that weak spot, the stance changes. Now it resists Ice and absorbs it, and Fire becomes your better option. Watch its color and motion. That’s your cue.

You will come across Stalact in several locations: the Frozen Heart, the Flying Manor, and somewhere deep in Monoco’s Station. It’s best to keep your elemental abilities evenly leveled. You will need both sides ready to use.

Where You Can Stop and Reset

This area gives you two reliable rest points. Use them smartly to save your time.

  • The Ice Corridor appears early. If you have just entered the zone, this is where you should anchor first.
  • Deeper in, Monoco’s Station itself has another rest point. That’s where many critical moments in the game connect, and where fast travel becomes essential.

You can move between these two flags without backtracking too much. If you are aiming to train or test different characters, plan your route around these two locations.

Pick Up Outfits

You will come across the Grand Fashionist inside the station. This NPC doesn’t just hand out outfits. You have to be using a specific character when you talk to them—Maelle, Lune, or Sciel. The reward depends entirely on who is currently active.

There’s a small twist here. You need to respond to the Grand Fashionist’s questions carefully. There’s no second try. The right answers will get you a clean, new look for the active party member. Keep notes if you are unsure who answered what.

Talk To NPCs

Monoco’s Station includes more than combat prep. You will find two NPCs here who serve very different functions.

  • Grandis Fashionist is your point of contact for new character aesthetics.
  • Grandis Merchant focuses more on the practical side—gear, resources, and essentials you will need beyond this station.

Talk to both. Even if you are not buying or switching appearances now, it’s good to know what they offer for later.

Find Out Journal Expedition 65

This journal is tucked away right before you exit the station. It’s easy to skip if you are moving quickly. Slow down once you feel the area is winding down. Check rooms along the final corridor and keep an eye on corners.

Reading this Journal gives background from earlier expeditions. You are piecing together why some groups never returned to Lumiere. These entries help you place the present mission in a wider context.
