Everything you need to know about Code Vein 2, including its release date, pre-order details, pricing, and more.

Code Vein 2, the sequel to one of the most experimental souls-like RPGs out there, finally has a confirmed release date. For those who aren’t aware, the original Code Vein was developed by a small team at Bandai Namco. While it was lacking in quite a few aspects, Code Vein still ended up becoming somewhat of a cult classic among souls-like fans.
However, with the sequel, Bandai Namco aims to bring the franchise to the mainstream. While the game does retain its “souls-like roots,” it’s much faster-paced and action-packed this time around. The sequel also ditches the monotone color palette of the original in favor of a more vibrant presentation.
Although the game is still a few months away from its release date, Code Vein 2 is already available for pre-order on all platforms. Here’s everything you need to know about Code Vein 2’s pre-order details, including release date, editions, and more.
Code Vein 2 Release Date and Platforms

Code Vein 2 is scheduled to be released on January 27, 2026. However, there’s a catch. If you pre-purchase the Deluxe or the Ultimate Edition, you can play the game 72 hours before the official release date. Essentially, if you pre-order the premium editions of the game, you can start playing Code Vein 2 from January 24, 2026.
As for the platforms, Code Vein 2 is coming to all current-generation systems, i.e., PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC. Furthermore, according to the game’s store listing on PlayStation, pre-load for Code Vein 2 is scheduled to go live on January 23, 2026. However, this only applies to the PS5 version of the game.
Pre-download details for the PC (Steam) and Xbox versions of the game have yet to be revealed by Bandai Namco.
