Florida Governor Comments on Andrew and Tristan Tate’s Arrival in Florida

After news of Andrew and Tristan’s arrival in Florida reached Gov. Ron DeSantis, he stated that the brothers were not welcome in Florida. Ron commented on the brothers and stated that he had no involvement in their arrival. Notably, Andrew and Tristan are both citizens of the United States and the United Kingdom. President Donald Trump also commented on the situation, stating that he knows “nothing about it.”

DeSantis replied that the federal government has jurisdiction over them and that the Florida government might look into the situation as well. Reportedly, US officials from the Donald Trump administration were involved in talks with the Romanian government about lifting the travel ban.

“No, Florida is not a place where you’re welcome with that type of conduct up in the air. I don’t know how it came to this. We were not involved, we were not notified, I found out through the media that this was something that was happening.”
