Death Stranding 2 has 9 Hot Springs, with each providing its own temporary buffs to Sam after a bath. Apart from the first two (outside the Motherhood base and in Heartman’s Lab), the rest need to be found and dug at specific points on the map. The Land Down Under is quite large, and discovering the perfect spots can become a little tedious. Hot Springs can also be used for fast traveling in Death Stranding 2. Bathing in a Hot Spring is required to unlock the Written in the Stars trophy. The first Hot Spring you will encounter is the one outside the Motherhood base. Fast traveling from there will get you to the one inside Heartman’s Lab. Once you have talked to the Hydrologist there, you will get access to the Hot Spring Digger and will be able to dig for Hot Springs in Australia.

Miracle Spring

• Location: West of the Motherhood facility, right outside the entrance
• Temporary Buff: None

Heartman’s Spring

• Location: Inside Heartman’s Lab
• Temporary Buff: Stamina boosted

Chiral Spring

• Location: Between the Dowser and Heartman’s Lab, on the ridge
• Temporary Buff: Cargo weight capacity increased

Healing Spring

• Location: Northwest of the Animal Shelter
• Temporary Buff: Stamina restored

Digestive Spring

• Location: Northeast of the Lone Commander, right above the Tar Lake
• Temporary Buff: Consumables’ effects are increased

Metallic Spring

• Location: Southwest of the Chronobiologist
• Temporary Buff: Cargo containers dropped in the water are repaired

Clairvoyant Spring

• Location: East of the Eastern Environmental Observatory, in the middle of nowhere in the mountains
• Temporary Buff: Spotting items in the environment becomes easier

Recharging Spring

• Location: North of BPAS
• Temporary Buff: Recharges all batteries

Tar Spring

• Location: South to Tar Therapist
• Temporary Buff: Makes it difficult for BTs to detect Sam

How To Dig For Hot Springs In Death Stranding 2

You will need a PCC Lv. 2 or higher to build Hot Spring Digger and bring up Hot Springs in Death Stranding 2.

Once you have equipped the PCC and chosen the Hot Spring Digger option, you will need to hold L2 to see how far off you are from a Hot Spring in DS2. You will hear an audible beep that grows louder or fainter depending on whether you are moving in the right direction. Once you are at the right spot and the build area is level, you will be able to press R2 to build the Hot Spring Digger.
