After the revelations in Death Stranding 2 Episode 13, Sam and the crew are on a mission to save Tomorrow in Episode 14. To do that, they need to travel to Mexico. Unfortunately, due to unstable tar currents, the DHV Magellan cannot risk traveling until the situation calms down. This means Sam will have to go there himself.

Death Stranding 2 Episode 14: How To Complete

The goal of this episode is to rescue Tomorrow and stop Higgs from kickstarting The Last Stranding.

Traveling on foot for this mission is a death sentence. Consider using a Pickup Off-Roader so you can get to the marked location as fast as possible. Before heading out, make sure to check out your new weapon, the Battle Guitar. Don’t forget to stock up on supplies and ammo, as it’s going to be a long ride.

The Pickup Off-Roader is fast on flat roads. However, it struggles to move around bodies of water. When driving around unfavorable areas, make sure to focus on avoiding hostile encounters as much as possible and keep moving. If you can, avoid driving through bodies of water. Take the longer but safer path if possible.

Once you reach your destination, Sam will enter the Strange Realm again, and Tarman gives an update on the tar currents. He tells you to investigate a disturbance somewhere in Ciudad Nudo del Norte. The DHV Magellan won’t be able to move until the issue is resolved, so it’s your job to check the place out.

Now that you are in another dimension, you have no choice but to travel on foot. Don’t forget to look around for some chiral crystals to pick up. You can find a few of them on the ground while heading to the marked location.

You will be doing a lot of walking in this section. Fortunately, there seem to be no hostile encounters, at least until you reach your destination. Once you are near the marked location, you are greeted by a giant crab-like creature that you must defeat.

After a peaceful walk, you are now forced to fight a giant Bleached Thing (BT). Having faced the giant tentacle ghost mech back in Death Stranding Episode 9, you should be familiar with how to deal with massive boss fights. Aim for the exposed flesh on its limbs to cripple the giant crab and limit its movement. However, be careful, as it will try to impale you with one of its pointed limbs.

Once you cripple one of its limbs, the giant BT will momentarily collapse to one knee, exposing the top of its head and revealing more exposed flesh. Shoot its head with rockets or grenades to deal more damage. After some time, the monster will get back on its feet and you will need to cripple it again. You will have to rinse and repeat this combo until the enemy drops dead. Once you defeat the giant BT, it will turn into a pool of chiral crystals that you can pick up.

Go to Sam’s Shelter

Now that the threat is gone, you have to walk toward a shelter. Tarman will give Sam a call, sharing how the crew is working on something that allows them to travel to any Beach they want. This allows you and the DHV Magellan to follow Higgs wherever he may go. Additionally, the tar currents have also calmed down, allowing the ship to travel and catch up with Sam.

Once the call is done, proceed to head inside Ciudad Nudo del Norte. Here, you can get yourself a vehicle so you don’t have to walk for the most part. If you want, pick something fast like the Tri-Cruiser. However, there may be a time when you have to abandon your vehicle. The road is long, so you will have to be patient.

Once you finally reach the shelter, you can head inside and watch a few cutscenes where Sam gets hallucinations of Lou. Your goal this time is to find something you own that has a connection to Amelie. This will help the DHV Magellan crew get to where Higgs is and rescue Tomorrow.

Heading to the kitchen, Sam will open one of the drawers to find a photo of Amelie. This is the item you are looking for. Heading out, the DHV Magellan is waiting outside the shelter. With everything set, the crew takes off and travels to where Higgs and Tomorrow are located. However, the ship then gets attacked by BTs.

With that said, it’s now up to Sam to stop Higgs, rescue Tomorrow, and stop The Last Stranding. As the crew bids their farewell, Sam turns his back, and the episode ends.
