In this extensive guide, we’ll take a look at how you can locate and capture an albino animal in Death Stranding 2.

In Death Stranding 2, you’ll be able to find and capture a host of wild animals once they unlock after completing Order Number 15. Doing so will earn you likes from the Animal Sanctuary because you’re helping rescue and preserve these creatures in the post-apocalyptic world.
However, besides the standard animal species that you’ll come across, you will also need to collect an albino variant of animals during one of the quests in the game. In this guide, we’ll explore where you can find an albino animal in Death Stranding 2 and what you can do with it.
Why Do You Need To Capture an Albino Animal in Death Stranding 2?

Even though normal animals will start to appear across the map after Order Number 15, the albino variants will spawn much later. During Order Number 28, you will meet and connect the Pioneer to the Chiral Network. To do that, you will need to return some of his lost cargo from around the Motherhood. After he agrees to join the Chiral Network, you can check back with the Pioneer later on to take on his Aid Requests. Some of these will mark the locations of the wild albino animals roaming around that Sam must capture and return.
The game offers three albino animal variants, namely the echidna, lyrebird, and kangaroo. You can choose to track down any of these and get them back for the Pioneer. Doing so not only leads to Sam earning several Likes, but it will also unlock the Rare Specimen Rescuer trophy.

Where To Find an Albino Animal in Death Stranding 2?
Whenever you accept an Aid Request to hunt for an unusually colored animal (same as albino), you’ll also get a quest marker that points you to that location. The albino kangaroo is the easiest to find. For that, you need to head north from Heartman’s Lab. You can easily spot the white-fur kangaroo on the reddish desert backdrop.
To capture an albino animal, use rubber bullets to knock it down first. Or, you can also simply chase it down and capture it. Deliver it back to the Animal Shelter to receive your Likes and any other rewards you get.
