You can then fabricate an Electric Trap with 40 Metal and 40 Special Alloy at any facility using the Fabricate equipment option.
How to Use Electric Trap in Death Stranding 2

The Electric Trap is a throwable weapon that releases electric charges on enemies. You can either throw it directly at a target or deploy it in advance by setting up a trap. When enemies enter its radius, it triggers the trap’s sensor and zaps them. This potentially knocks out the enemies.
Deploying multiple Electric Traps within a certain distance causes them to interconnect with each other via a wire. When placing the traps, you will notice blue and orange indicators. Placing the Electric Trap when the indicator is blue interconnects it with a nearby trap, while orange means you are too far from a trap.
Enemies who pass between the connected traps will be electrocuted. Electric Traps are unique equipment that allow you to take down enemies using innovative and tactical approaches.
