In this guide, we’ll take a look at how you can get your hands on and use the Chiral Antigravity Device in Death Stranding 2.
In Death Stranding 2, you’ll spend considerable time and resources trying to improve your efficiency at carrying cargo from one place to another. This involves increasing the carrying capacity and making traversal as simple as possible. However, you get access to a specific tool during the early stages of the game, which greatly enhances your ability to haul heavy cargo across the terrain.
Since the game doesn’t explain well how the tool works, many players might not even remember that they have it. We are referring to the Chiral Antigravity Device. In the following guide, we’ll explore how you can get and use the Chiral Antigravity Device in Death Stranding 2.
How To Unlock the Chiral Antigravity Device in Death Stranding 2
To get the Chiral Antigravity Device, you will need to reach Connection Level 2 with the Government Base facility. This is the first facility you’ll come across once you complete the Prologue section and reach Australia. Like any other facility in the game, you can keep improving Sam’s connection levels with the base by doing the following:
- Return any lost cargo you find to the facility.
- Complete any of the Sub Orders that end at the Government Base facility.
- Fulfill Aid Requests the Prepper in this particular facility has for Sam.
You should be able to reach Level 2 with the facility quickly if you do the above-mentioned tasks. After that, the Chiral Antigravity Device schematics unlock automatically.

How To Use the Chiral Antigravity Device in Death Stranding 2
You can’t directly equip the device. Instead, you’ll need to first craft it. Follow the steps mentioned below to craft and use the device.
- Step 1: Open up any facility terminal.
- Step 2: Go into the Backpack Customization option under Fabrication Management.
- Step 3: At the bottom of the screen, click on Add and then choose Components.
- Step 4: Select the Chiral Antogravity Device from the list of craftable items that appear.
You can only craft it if you have 100x Chiral Crystals, 80x Special Alloys, and 60x Chemicals with you. Once crafting is complete, place the Chiral Antigravity Device anywhere on your backpack. Doing so will increase the maximum weight that your backpack can carry. Keep in mind that you can craft multiple Chiral Antigravity Devices and attach them to your backpack to increase its carrying capacity further.
