Navigating through hard terrains and delivering the cargo is the core gameplay loop of Death Stranding 2. However, the containers holding your cargo deteriorate over time and take damage. No matter how carefully you travel or drive, your containers can still be damaged by missteps or Timefall.  Damaged containers can significantly impact your delivery rating, preventing you from achieving the S-rank feat.

That’s why you need to monitor your container’s condition throughout a mission and keep it in better shape. Fortunately, you can repair your damaged container in Death Stranding 2 and protect the contents inside. Here is how you can repair cargo containers in Death Stranding 2.

Container Repair Spray is undoubtedly one of the most useful, yet often overlooked, tools in Death Stranding 2. While it may not seem important at first, it plays a vital role in repairing your cargo containers. The Container Repair Spray allows you to spray aerosol on containers and restore their durability. However, the spray won’t restore the durability of a broken or damaged component inside the container.

Additionally, Timefall Shelters serve as another reliable way to repair cargo containers. Staying inside a Timefall Shelter not only protects you from the Timefall rain but also restores your container’s durability automatically over time.

A cargo container can become damaged by various means, including exposure to Timefall, impact with hard surfaces, being hit by enemies, or falling to the ground. The damage is visually identified through the rust around the container’s surface. To repair a container, craft a Container Repair Spray at any facility using 20x Chiral Crystals and 10x Resins.

Once crafted, equip a Container Repair Spray from the equipment wheel. Then hold R2 to spray it, pointing at the containers. You can switch between front and back aim by pressing Square. This allows you to spray the containers on your backpack or those on your front, placed on the ground or a vehicle. Keep spraying until all the rust disappears, and your container will then shine as good as new, fully repaired.
