Death Stranding 2 improves upon the original in every way possible, and the game’s combat is perhaps the biggest beneficiary of this. Combat is now better than ever in Death Stranding 2, and the game gives you the freedom of approaching combat in any way you see fit.

You could drive your vehicle and crash it right into camp, letting the vehicle accessories do the dirty work for you. You could also go in guns blazing yourself. If you’re anything like us, however, you probably want to sneak around and strike enemies when they least expect it.

Death Stranding 2 takes cues from Metal Gear Solid 5 and greatly expands upon its stealth system, making it a viable way to deal with enemies. If you’re looking to sneak around and pick off enemies one by one in a camp, but don’t know how to do so, we’re here to help. In this guide, we shall go over how to sneak in Death Stranding 2.

You sneak around in Death Stranding 2 by staying crouched. When you’re crouched, you’re harder to detect and also make significantly less sound. This makes maneuvering around the camps and enemies undetected much easier. You can crouch at any given time by pressing the R1 button. Take note that if your backpack stack is too big, crouching won’t do you much good. If that’s the case, drop the bag somewhere safe before raiding a camp.

While crouching does make you harder to spot, you’re never completely safe. It is important to take note of enemy patrol patterns and plan your routes accordingly. As much as possible, try to stay away from the enemy’s line of sight. Move around from cover to cover. If there’s no cover in sight, your next bet is to use foliage to hide in the grass. Circle around and approach them from behind to open them up for a stealth kill.

Once you’ve managed to crouch and sneak up behind an enemy, you can then take them out using one of two attacks. The first attack is a standard stealth knockout that you can initiate by pressing the Circle button. In this, Sam uses a Strand to quickly knock the enemy out. The second option is to use a standard melee, but this attracts far too much attention and isn’t recommended.
