The Battle Guitar is one of the unique weapons you can unlock in Death Stranding 2. It was first shown in the game’s second trailer, where Higgs fights Red Samurai. Now that the game is out, you might be wondering if you can get your hands on that interesting piece of equipment. 

Fortunately, Death Stranding does allow you to unlock the Battle Guitar and use it as a weapon. However, you need to reach the later stages of the game first. With that said, here is a guide on how you can obtain Higgs’ Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2.

How To Get Higgs’ Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2

The Battle Guitar is only obtainable after you complete Order No. 46, the final order mission of the game, to connect all of Australia. This is the mission where you need to deliver the Drawbridge Terminal Unit to the F8 distribution center. During this mission, you will meet Higgs, wielding the Battle Guitar you want.

Eventually, you’ll face off against Higgs with Fragile by your side. After defeating him, a cutscene will play where Tarman explains how the crew of the DHV Magellan modified the Battle Guitar just for you. Once the cutscene ends, the Battle Guitar will be added to your inventory in Death Stranding 2.

How To Use Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2

Now that you have unlocked Higgs’ Battle Guitar, you need to know how to use it. First, it can be used as a melee weapon. Simply press the Circle button on your controller repeatedly to hit enemies.

The next one you should know is that this weapon fires electric charges. To do this, aim by pressing L2, then shoot your target by pressing the R2 button on your controller. Alternatively, you can hold the R2 button to channel up a powerful electric charge attack. However, keep in mind that shooting targets with the Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2 requires Chiral Crystals.

Tips and Tricks When Using the Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2

Here are some tips and tricks to keep in mind when using the Battle Guitar:

• Avoid using a charged attack when enemies are too close, as you won’t have enough time to dodge.
• If you lose the guitar, you can fabricate it as many times as you want in the delivery terminal.
• Always stock up on Chiral Crystals so you can use the ranged attack of the weapon.
• The Melee attacks of the guitar are enough for most combat scenarios if you want to save those Chiral Crystals for other things.
