Death Stranding 2 does have an early access period available for players to jump into. This is not available for those who buy the Standard edition. The game releases on June 26, 2025, on PlayStation 5 exclusively. There are a few special edition merchandise items that you can pick up for the game, provided they are available in your region.

Death Stranding 2: How To Get Early Access?

You will need to pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Collector’s Edition to get the 48-hour early access to Death Stranding 2. The Digital Deluxe Edition is available for $79.99, and the Collector’s Edition costs $229.99. 

Death Stranding 2: When is Early Access?

There is a 48-hour Early Access for Death Stranding 2 available to eligible players. This means the early access will start on June 24. If you are on the fence about whether you should purchase the game or not, keep tabs on the DS2 review embargo date to learn what the critics have to say about the sequel.

With a star-studded cast and several promised cameos, Death Stranding 2 is gearing up to be an exciting sequel to a game that was highly polarising. While gameplay-wise you wouldn’t really have any problem if you haven’t played the first title, we definitely urge you to do the same before diving into DS2.
