Death Stranding 2 Written in the Stars Trophy: How To Study Night Sky

One of the more confusing Death Stranding 2 trophies, Written in the Stars, demands that you study the night sky to unlock it. The description doesn’t say anything further. Players are understandably left scratching their heads about how to do it. While you may hope that holding L1 and looking at the sky will solve the matter, there’s another specific mechanic involved in studying the night sky and unlocking the Written in the Stars trophy.

How To Study the Night Sky in Death Stranding 2? [Written in the Stars Trophy Guide]

You can study the night sky in Death Stranding 2 by taking a bath in any Hot Spring.

There are quite a few of them in-game, with the easiest being the one outside the Motherhood base or the one in Heartman’s Lab. The rest you will have to find and dig for. The Hot Springs are one of the three ways you can fast travel in Death Stranding 2.

How To Unlock Written in the Stars Trophy in DS2

• Once you are standing in a Hot Spring, hold square to initate a bath.
• When the option appears, hold L1 to look at the stars. The button prompts take a couple of seconds after the bath begins to show up.
• Look around in the sky to spot constellations (in shapes like Lou, Cryptobiote, etc.) to complete the study of the night sky.

This will unlock the Bronze trophy in question in Death Stranding 2.

Apart from studying the night sky, the Hot Springs in DS2 can be used to get a variety of temporary boosts (depending on the location) and for traveling between Hot Springs. There are limitations with the latter, such as your cargo being left at the terminal from where you teleported.
