Discover all the secret areas in Doom The Dark Ages Chapter 2, Hebeth, while butchering hell’s forces with this guide.
Doom The Dark Ages is the latest installment and the prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal. The latest Doom game is set in medieval times and focuses on the Slayer’s origins. The game is supposed to release on May 15, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Doom The Dark Ages will also be available as a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass for PC, Xbox consoles, and cloud devices.
The Dark Ages, like every other Doom game, has the ‘Rip and Tear’ gameplay, but also introduces a new ‘Stand and Fight’ approach. This approach shifts the focus to short-range melee combat and allows for brutal executions. The Slayer will get a brand new weapon, a throwable chainsaw shield, which can be used for offense and defense.
This guide will focus on all the secret collectibles in the game’s second chapter, Hebeth.
All Secret Areas in Doom the Dark Ages’ Hebeth Chapter
Chapter 2, titled Hebeth, features a total of 9 secret areas. You’ll find how to explore all of them below.
Secret Area 1
While moving towards the entrance of the weapons facility, you’ll find a vulnerable barrier that can be broken with your shield. Bash it with your shield and turn right to find a Life Sigil in this hidden location.
Secret Area 2
As you progress through the facility, you’ll come across an area with steam pipes running on the walls. In this area, you’ll find a vent that has boxes below it. When you find it, head inside it towards the question mark and collect the Imp Stalker toy.
Secret Area 3
In the corridor area outside the research lab, turn left to find a breakable wall with a shield icon on it. Bash your shield on it and find some gold on the left and the third secret in Doom The Dark Ages.
Secret Area 4
When you are on the way to the research lab, find a Sentinel statue facing an easy-to-access platform. Climb it to find some gold and the fourth secret area in Chapter Hebeth.
Secret Area 5
When you are in the room with the massive helmet hologram, look for a vulnerable wall beside some boxes. Bash through it to find a secret vent and acquire some gold.
Secret Area 6
When exiting the facility, look for a broken and old building and head inside using the front door. You’ll find yourself at the entrance of a secret area with some gold to loot.
Secret Area 7
This area is located inside another vent, again placed near some boxes. Jump on the boxes to enter the vent. Head inside to uncover the seventh secret location in Doom The Dark Ages.
Secret Area 8
This secret area follows the tradition of being in a vent near the Sentinel Shrine. With the Doom Slayer’s back facing the shrine, turn left into the gore-infested corridor until you find a platform leading to the vent.
Secret Area 9
The last secret area in this chapter is located outside the main boss room. Once, there was a room guarded by raging flames. To unlock the room, head to the room on the opposite side and interact with the valve above. The reward for solving this puzzle is some lootable gold and the final secret in Chapter 2 of Doom The Dark Ages.
