The forest is dark and full of dangers, but nothing flinches you as the Slayer. What could truly unnerve you, though, is the overwhelming number of secrets lurking in every corner. Chapter 8, the Abyssal Forest, has 11 secrets spread all over the level.

| Secret Area 1 | Take a right from the large sentinel tree in the forest. Follow the path laced with gold to obtain a Life Sigil. |
| Secret Area 2 | On your way through the barracks, you will see a small gate with a torch. Pass through and drop down below to discover a secret area with a Life Sigil and some gold. Use the jump booster at the end to find a ruby. |
| Secret Area 3 | You’ll find a large tree with a set of vines on your path through the barracks. As soon as you see the tree, keep your eyes peeled on the right for a breakable barrier. Break through to find a secret area with a Codex page. |
| Secret Area 4 | While following the marker through the forest, you will come across a large gap. Grapple across, and Thira will inform you of the forge. Stick to the right and drop down the ledge. Turn around to find a breakable barrier. Break through to find a secret area with gold. |
| Secret Area 5 | When passing through the barracks, you will reach a compound with a large tower. Take a left and follow the gold-laced path to enter a secret fire chamber. Shoot the chain on the right to lift the cage at the center and get the Witch Toy. |
| Secret Area 6 | Exit the fire chamber from the other side and climb the box to your right. Scale up the wall and jump across the platform. Grapple up ahead to discover a secret area with a Life Sigil. |
| Secret Area 7 | After taking the Life Sigil, drop down and inspect the scaffolding ahead. Shoot the chain inside the scaffolding to drop the statue and make a hole in the ground. Drop down this hole to find a secret area with some gold. |
| Secret Area 8 | Collect the gold and exit using the nearby gate. Circle around to your right and scale up the wall to reach a platform with cannons. Parkour across the roofs to find a secret area with a ruby. |
| Secret Area 9 | Collect the ruby and drop down to your right. Continue downwards along the cliffside till you reach a gate. Shoot the chain on your left to raise the gate. Head inside to discover a secret area with gold. |
| Secret Area 10 | After you break open the Mine Entrance with your cannon, go over to the entrance and drop down. Turn around to find a secret cave with some gold. |
| Secret Area 11 | Right after you obtain the Grenade Launcher, head down the hall to your left. Look up top on the left for a grapple point and use it to reach a passage above. You will find a secret area with gold at the end. |
