This DOOM The Dark Ages walkthrough covers Chapter 11 Hellbreaker, which features the epic return of mecha battles.
In Chapter 11 Hellbreaker, DOOM Slayer continues his mission to locate and kill Ahzrak in the Fortress of Hell. After finding the core and powering up the Atlan in Hell, DOOM Slayer is prepared to launch an assault on the Fortress in Hell. The chapter features the return of the Atlan battle sequence, first seen in Chapter 3.

Getting to Ahzrak’s Castle
The chapter begins as the DOOM Slayer inserts the power core inside the Atlan, reboots the system, and begins piloting it. Throw a Rocket Punch to clear the blocking barrier and fight your way through the titans. After defeating the titans, Commander Thira informs you of the fortress that lies ahead.
Destroy another barricade by performing a Rocket Punch, which takes you to a new area. Here, you will find a giant weapon pod, containing a launcher-type gun. As more titans spawn in the area, use the supercharge mechanics to fend off the multiple titans effectively.
Opening the Castle Gate
A brief scene will play as you approach the castle, where you dismount the Atlan and reach the upper level area. Fortunately, the area also features a Sentinel Shrine, allowing you to buy upgrades. As you progress, interact with the structure at the centre to acquire a new Shield Rune called Holy Swarm.
You will find a huge swarm of enemies in the subsequent areas. After clearing all of them, throw the shield at the superheated metal on either side near the castle gate. This will open the fortress gate, allowing you to proceed further. Continue along the way to reach the Point of No Return.
Defeating the Demonic Leader
When you get past the door and enter the area, Prince Ahzrak’s hologram declares ‘Our time will come’ and makes you face his demonic forces. During the battle, you also encounter a Demonic Leader, whom, upon defeating, will reward you with a Demonic Essence, which increases the maximum armor.
After defeating the leader, Thira will open a portal and inform you that you are needed at the Command Station. Entering the portal serves as the conclusion of the chapter. The chapter contains a total of 85 Gold, 1 Demonic Essence, 1 Secret, and 1 Toy.
