The opening cutscene of the chapter reveals a few details about the Heart of Argent, explaining to players why Prince Ahzrak is pursuing the artifact.
Discovered in AR722, it possesses immense power. It is said to contain the soul of the last Wraith, with its power and origins remaining unknown and mysterious. Clearing the Barracks
The mission begins at the Sentinel Barracks, located at Cantoth, Argent D’Nur. As soon as the chapter starts, Commander Valen mentions that the north wing area is overrun with demons. Your primary objective is to clear the barracks and defend them from demons. To get to the other side from the starting area, use the Shield Recall Jump.
The chapter also introduces Mission challenges, which feature small tasks and reward Gold upon completion. On your way through the objective marker, you will find a new weapon called Skullcrusher Pulverizer — the ideal choice for clearing out a group of enemies. Test the weapon in the next room, where a huge group of enemies awaits you.
Solving the Puzzle
As you progress, you will encounter a puzzle involving a pressure trigger at the centre of the room. Standing on the trigger reveals a super-heated metal on the front door. Throw your Shield Saw on the super-heated metal to shatter the door, allowing you to pass through. After passing through, you will find yourself trapped with enemies in an area. Clear them to reach the Point of No Return checkpoint.
Getting to Dragon’s Den
Fight along the way to regroup with Sentinel soldiers. Interact with a red-glowing statue to obtain the Ruby, which opens the door on the front, leading to another Point of No Return, where you drop into a new area. Open the weapon pod in the spot to receive the Impaler–a weapon for precise shots—and make your way to the Dragon’s Den.
After defeating the enemies, follow the objective marker to find a Sentinel Shrine. Then you will end up with another puzzling spot. Use the Shield Recall Jump to get to the other side and use the Environmental Shield Charge to push the box, which creates a way to lift you up. After reaching the top, use the Shield Recall Jump again to cross the gap.
Defeating Vagary Champion
Defeat the Demonic Leader to obtain the Demon Essence, which increases your maximum armor. Then, follow the mission objective marker to reach the Dragon’s Aviary area. Prepare for a challenging battle as you will encounter the Champion boss Vagary Champion upon breaking the gate.
Defeating the boss is not the same as fighting others, since Champions wear golden armor, which greatly reduces the impact of your attacks. You need to parry the Hell Surge attacks to build the stun meter, which allows you to deal massive damage. Defeating the Vagary Champion marks the end of the chapter. The chapter will contain 212 Gold, 2 Ruby, 6 Secrets, 1 Codex, 1 Toy, and 1 Skin overall.
