The weapon pod is located in a region separated from the main area, where you will also find a key and a toy. A pathway from the nearby Demonic Portal location leads you to the region. Alternatively, you can get there using the Blue air-lifting mechanism near an inscription. Approach and interact with the pod to acquire the Rail Spike Shredder. 

How To Use the Rail Spike Shredder in DOOM The Dark Ages

The Rail Spike Shredder is a full-auto weapon that functions more like an Assault Rifle. It fires a barrage of barbed spikes at enemies, dealing significant damage at a faster rate. While the initial Combat Shotgun is useful for early encounters, the Shredder further elevates your combat. It excels in both close and long-range combat, but make sure not to slip off the target.
