As the Slayer battles hordes of demons, powerful leaders, and bosses, movement plays a key role. If your movement becomes sluggish or unstable, you will quickly find yourself overwhelmed. Moving constantly and becoming aggressive helps you deal with the relentless enemy groups, and sprinting significantly enhances your movement. Sprinting is crucial, as it allows you to clear gaps quickly while also allowing you to dodge or escape attacks effectively.

Normally, you can sprint by holding the input button while moving forward. However, holding an input button all the time can be frustrating. It may also disrupt your control and put you in dire situations, especially during mid-to-late game combat. Fortunately, the game provides a solution for this: an Auto Sprint option. The feature allows you to seamlessly sprint across the map while swiftly eliminating foes without relying on an extra input button. Find out how to enable and use Auto Sprint in Doom The Dark Ages.

By default, the Auto Sprint option is disabled. You can enable it in the gameplay settings to use it effectively by following these steps:

  • Open Settings options from either the Main Menu or by pressing the Pause button during the game.
  • Navigate to the Gameplay section under the Game tab.
  • Under the Gameplay section, you will find settings like Daze Highlights, Parry Circle, and Objective Marker.
  • Scroll down to find the Auto-Sprint option.
  • Toggle it on to enable the Auto-Sprint.

That’s it. You can now use Auto Sprint during your playthrough. With Auto Sprint enabled, the Slayer starts to sprint automatically when you move forward. It removes the need for an extra input button for sprinting, providing an opportunity to focus on combat controls. This allows you to take more control over the area while also managing the essential button inputs.
