A Planetologist build is an effective subclass in Dune Awakening that you need to have on you while playing. It is extremely useful as a subclass to other builds like the Trooper, for example. The primary role of a Planetologist in this game is to let the player gather resources and move through the environment more freely than others. It may not be the strongest subclass in PvP situations, but it’s important to learn about it so you can utilize it to its full potential.

Strengths and Weaknesses of a Planetologist in Dune Awakening

Strengths

One of the biggest strengths in the game is that you have access to movement tools. And let me assure you, if you go down a Planetologist build, you will have access to the best movement tools in Dune Awakening. The Planetologist build will also help you retain your water and stamina for longer. This means that you can survive out in the harsh world of Arakkis for longer than others. Lastly, it is also good for Gathering and Exploration with helpful tools at hand.

Weaknesses

A weakness for this subclass that will bug you a lot is that it doesn’t offer any advantageous damage boost. Since it’s a secondary class, it adds nothing to the damage output, making it useless in a PvP situation. If you pair it with a strong class, you might flip the switch on your enemies, but otherwise, you are going down if you rely on it for damage. Most of the skills in this class are passive, this becomes a disadvantage if you are looking for a fun class to play.
