EA Sports recently released a Live Tuning Update for EAFC 25, and thankfully, it got rid of an annoying speed boost glitch that you might have come across while playing Ultimate Team. The amount of bugs that has been cropping up since the game’s official release on September 27, 2024 forced EA to release two title updates so far.

However, this wasn’t enough as a new exploit came out where players could get an unfair speed boost in competitive matches. This is why EA had to resort to a Live Tuning Update, which usually makes small fixes without needing a Title Update.

So, here are the full patch notes of the first Live Tuning Update and an explanation of everything it fixes.

The Live Tuning Update #1 is here, so you’ll see the following patch notes when you start the game on all versions of EA’s latest football simulation title:

Made the following changes:

  • Reduced ball trajectory height for Lobbed Passes and Crosses performed in Rush matches.
  • Reduced accuracy of first time Lobbed Through Passes and Lobbed Through Passes taken at severe angles.

Addressed the following issue:

  • [PS5 / PC / Xbox Series X|S Only] Reduced instances of players accelerating unintentionally quickly when a Sprint is requested.

As mentioned before, Live Tuning is a quick way to fix some immediate issues without resorting to a major update. EA Sports has made some changes to the way you play the game as part of Live Tuning Update #1. For instance, you’ll find that the ball trajectory height for Lobbed Passes and Crosses has been reduced in Rush mode.

Meanwhile, the accuracy of first time Lobbed Through Passes and Lobbed Through Passes taken at severe angles has also been reduced across all game modes. However, the most important fix is for players on the New Gen versions (PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S).

Earlier, you could accelerate ridiculously fast when you used the Speed Boost feature. This is accessible by pressing and holding L1 (on PlayStation) or LB (on Xbox) and then tapping the Sprint button. However, this bug should be fixed in the latest version of EA FC 25 with Live Tuning Update #1.
