Elden Ring creator FromSoftware’s upcoming new title has finally been revealed, but it’s an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch 2.
FromSoftware and director Hidetaka Miyazaki’s upcoming new title, The Duskbloods, has been revealed. The game’s announcement comes courtesy of the recently held Nintendo Direct Showcase. Right from the start, the game’s trailer gives off strong “Bloodborne” vibes, complete with a gothic setting, blood-crazed fiends, and even vampires. The similarities don’t end at the title’s themes and enemy designs either, as The Duskblood is also an exclusive. However, it’s not a PlayStation exclusive this time around. Instead, The Duskbloods is developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, which makes it the very first title from FromSoftware that’s releasing exclusively for the Nintendo platform.

The Duskbloods is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Nintendo, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. As of writing this article, the game does not have a confirmed release date. However, the announcement trailer did conclude with a projected 2026 release window. Furthermore, the game is also labeled by Nintendo as “a brand-new multiplayer game by FromSoftware.” Judging by the trailer, the game does seem to lean heavily into the multiplayer aspect of the “souls-like” gameplay. It’s currently unclear whether there will be a single-player mode or not. However, if Elden Ring Nightreign is anything to go by, a solo mode can be expected for The Duskbloods.
Speaking of Nightreign, The Duskbloods seems to incorporate a ton of elements from FromSoftware’s upcoming multiplayer title. Additionally, the game’s environment and architecture seem very reminiscent of both Elden Ring and Bloodborne. And much like in Bloodborne, The Duskbloods’ story seems to revolve around the “blood.” At least that’s the narrative context we can get from the first few seconds of the trailer.
Is The Duskbloods Coming To Other Platforms?
As of writing this article, The Duskbloods is scheduled to be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Given that the game is being published by Nintendo, it’s highly unlikely that The Duskbloods will be available on other platforms.
