In this ESO Fighters Guild Guide 2023 I’m going to take you step by step through how to unlock the guild and how best to level the resulting skill line.
How to Unlock
In order to unlock the skill line from the Fighters Guild you will first need to be a member. If you have a new character which hasn’t already joined, visit the Fighters Guild Hall in your alliance’s starter city. This would be Daggerfall in Glenumbra, Davon’s Watch in Stonefalls, or Vulkhel Guard in Auridon. Once inside the Hall, you will need to speak with an NPC to officially join the guild. This will unlock both the Fighters Guild skill line, which you should now be able to pull up in the character skill line UI under Guilds.
Leveling the Skill Line
By reading the tool tip, you will discover that the way to level up the Fighters Guild skill line is by destroying Dark Anchors or by killing daedra and undead. There are generally two effective ways to do this:
- Skyreach – a public dungeon in base-game Craglorn. It is an instanced dungeon and full of undead. If you want to speed run the Fighters Guild skill line AND level up quickly, Skyreach runs are the way to go.
- Dark Anchors – You’ll find three Dark Anchors in nearly every base game zone (and some in Cyrodiil). If you’re brand new to the game, the best recommendation is to simply play these as you’re out there working on the quests. But if you’re leveling an alt, Dark Anchors can also be repeatedly run. Check out the Alik’r Desert zone, there are usually groups running the Anchors there.
Daily Guild Quests
Like the other main in-game guilds, the Fighters Guild also has daily quests you can complete. Doing so will also give you some experience, but in general this is not really considered an effective way of leveling the skill line.
The real reason for doing the daily quests is if you are leveling one of your companions! Completing the Fighters Guild daily quests is the ONLY way to level the Fighters Guild skill line on companions. Remember to have your companion out and active before turning in the quest or they will not receive the XP reward.
