The way this event works is that it features a selected Pokemon, making the Pokemon more likely to be found by trainers and also increasing its chances of being shiny by a great margin. Everything About Pokemon GO April 2025 Community Day

Featured Pokemon

This Community Day for April 2025 will take place on April 27, 2025. To be exact, it will run from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. During these three specific hours, you will see an increased number of Vanillite spawning, so much so that it might be the only Pokemon you spot at all.

Shiny Pokemon are generally rare, which makes them highly sought after. They also make great collectibles due to their rarity and help players stand out. During this event, you will be able to find a large number of shiny Vanillite in the wild.

Featured Attack

Until May 4, 2025, at 10:00 PM local time, the featured attack available for April’s Community Day will be the Charged Attack Avalanche. The featured attack is a move that you can teach your Pokemon. However, there is a condition: your Pokemon must have evolved to its final form before it can learn the featured attack. The in-game stats for Avalanche are:

1. Trainer Battles – 90 Power
2. Gym and Raids – 85 Power

For this event, you will specifically need to evolve your Vanillish into its third phase, Vanilluxe, after which Avalanche can be taught. You can evolve Vanillite using Vanillite Candy. These candies can be obtained by catching Vanillite or by transferring or hatching them. Since Vanillite will be very common in the wild during those hours, this task shouldn’t be difficult. You will need the following number of candies to evolve Vanillite:

1. Vanillite to Vanillish – 25 Vanillite Candy
2. Vanillish to Vanilluxe – 100 Vanillite Candy

Pokemon GO April 2025 Community Day Event Bonuses

While most general bonuses will be active only during the three-hour special event between 2 PM and 5 PM local time, some event bonuses will be active from 2 PM to 10 PM local time. Let’s take a look at all the available event bonuses below:

1. 3× XP for catching Pokemon.
2. 2× Candy for catching Pokemon.
3. 2× chance for trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon.
4. Lure modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
5. Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
6. Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
7. One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two per day.*
8. Trades will require 50% less Stardust.*

Community Day Special Background Timed Research

Following the event, this Timed Research will last for a week. If you log in during April Community Day, you will be awarded a Vanillite with a Might and Mastery-themed special background.

If you’re willing to spend an extra $2 during the event, you’ll gain access to the Vanillite Community Day Exclusive Special Research. This research rewards you with additional items and encounters, including:

1. 3 encounters with Vanillite that have a Might and Mastery–themed Special Background
2. Additional encounters with Vanillite
3. 1 Premium Battle Pass
4. 1 Rare Candy XL
