Yes, Fields of Mistria gives the player enough freedom to customize their pets. After the dream, you can name them and change their types, including colors. Want a little change? You can always swap their appearance from the animal journal tab; a total of 12 colors.

The colors range from Black to Purple. Additionally, from the animal journal, you can assign jobs to your pets by changing their tasks and main focus. From foraging a certain item to completing a whole quest, these pets can do it all. However, if it’s a rainy day in town, your pets cannot go outside, and you’ll have to complete tasks/quests by yourself.
