Fields of Mistria has just unveiled its second major update which adds pets to the game for you to bond with. Read on to know more.
The second major update for Fields of Mistria recently released on March 10, 2025. This update brought along the adorable pet system to the game. Through this feature players can adopt and take care of a pet, who can even help them in their daily activities.
This major update added a lot of new mechanics and items to the game. However, the game is still in early access, and lots of stuff is still on the way. Here is how you can get a pet for yourself in Fields of Mistria.
Pet Dream in Fields of Mistria
Your pet can be unlocked as soon as you finish the Pet Dream cutscene. This is a special cutscene which requires no effort on your part to unlock. However, veteran players will find it easier to witness this cutscene compared to newer players.
This is due to the requirement for starting this cutscene. The Pet Dream can be started after you have the following:
- Update the game to the latest version.
- Reach Spring 7th of Year 1 (night).
Once you reach the above-mentioned date, the pet dream quest should start automatically.
What To Do During the Pet Dream in Fields of Mistria?
You will be given the option to select your pet type (cat or dog), along with its name and job among others. Once you finish the dream and wake up, your desired pet will be waiting for you. These pets can be given treats, and in turn, they perform their assigned role and bring materials back to you.
You can now acquire pet treats to feed these animals, to keep them happy all around. Additionally, you’re not locked into your pet choice. You can change your pet’s name, species, etc. at any time by using your journal.
