Discover essential tips for mastering the Octophant bestiary in Fisch. Get strategies for catching unique fishes and enhancing your gameplay.

The Octophant Bestiary in Fisch is part of the Animal Fish Takeover event—a strange mix of humor and challenge. This limited-time bestiary can only be completed by fishing inside the Octophant boss pool, located in the Second Sea. This area unlocks only after level 250.
That means players need to level up as well as beat the Cthulhu boss to reach the desired level before traveling to a specific island to get started. After that, the fishing gets serious. Each fish has its own bait, season, and weather conditions. Moreover, most come with difficult reeling penalties.
Octophant Bestiary in Fisch
To complete the Octophant Bestiary in Fisch, you must follow a series of steps that begin well before fishing even starts. Let us discuss exactly how to unlock the area, where to go, what to use, and which fish to catch. Follow these steps in order to finish the bestiary efficiently.
First, unlock access to the Octophant boss pool:

- Reach level 250 or higher. The Second Sea is locked until then.
- Defeat the Cthulhu boss at Terrapin Island.
- After beating the boss, talk to the Sea Traveler NPC to get transported to the Second Sea.
- Spawn a boat and sail to Lushgrove Island using these coordinates: XYZ = 1133, 105, -560. Use a GPS if needed.
Next, locate the Octophant spawn bubble:
- The Elephant Octopus boss will spawn in the waters near Lushgrove.
- Use Tempest Totems and Smokescreen Totems alternately to speed up the spawning process.
- Look for a massive elephant-shaped head with a bubble around it. That’s your fishing zone.

- Alternative Rods: Abyssal Specter Rod or Ethereal Prism Rod (note: -50% nerf in Second Sea)
- Best Baits: Seaweed, Phantom Leech, Lagoon Leech (available via Tropical Bait Crates or AFK mine)
- Enchants: Use Hasty, Resilient, or Mystical to enhance rod stats
Finally, the most effective combination for fast completion is Azure of Lagoon Rod with Hasty enchant, paired with either Seaweed or Phantom Leech bait. Stick to this setup, rotate your totems to keep the bubble active, and fish only when weather and season conditions match your target.
